A Potential Key For Stress Management

KIIT School of Spiritualism and Yogic Sciences organized a two-day National Conference on “Spiritualism: A Potential Key for Stress Management” on 1st & 2nd July 2022. The conference witnessed knowledge sharing among a galaxy of intellectuals, and spiritualism and mental health managers.

The first session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Prasant Rath, Dean, School of Applied Sciences with an invited talk by Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Poddar, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Lincoln University College, Malaysia, who spoke extensively on “Sustainable stress management”. He highlighted various therapies to get rid of stress. Ten technical papers were presented at the session.

The second session, chaired by Dr. Bansidhar Mulia, HoD, Plastic Surgery, KIMS, was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeeb Kumar Patra, Dean & Head, School of Yoga, Central University of Rajasthan. In his talk on “Scientific Understanding of Stress and its Management”, he represented all scientific facts and parameters of Stress and its Management through wellness. Nine technical papers were presented at the session.

On the second day, Prof. (Dr.) Harekrushna Satapathy, Former Vice Chancellor, KISS Deemed to be University, enlightened everyone with an informative talk on spiritualism. Prof. (Dr.) Rekha Gupta, Principal, People’s University; Prof. (Dr.) Neil Madualra Martin, Professor IV, Extension and International Affairs Coordinator of the College of Nursing, Mindanao, State University-Lligan Institute of Technology, Lligan City, Philippines; and Prof. (Dr.) Gopal Chandra Nanda, Chairman, Ayush Empower Committee, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha also delivered their lectures.

The last session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Tripura Mishra, Vice-Principal, KISS-DU and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Panda, KIIT School of Spiritualism and Yogic Sciences. It witnessed presentations by 15 intelligent scholars to highlight their research works.

Earlier, in her welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Biswa Bandita Kar, Dean, School of Spiritualism and Yogic Sciences summarized the entire program to be conducted along with the basics and ethics of spiritualism, key factors of stress and how to adopt well being. Mrs. Rituparna Kar hosted the inaugural session, while Mr. Chandan Kumar Mohapatra, Ms. Kriti Raj, Ms. Aparajita Sahoo, Ms. P. Jyoti, Mr. Sashikanta Khuntia and Mr. Pradyumna Kishore Behera extended support in organizing the conference.
