KIMS Doctor’s Innovation Scales New Heights

Innovations of Dr. Ashok Kumar Badamali, Cardiac Anaesthesiologist, KIMS were selected for the final round of TATA-IIM Kolkata Social Enterprise Challenge. SanjivaniQCPR, a handheld gadget for doing chest compression of cardiac arrest victims, and kiosk, developed by Dr. Badamali, were among a few best innovations with high social impacts selected by the Innovation Park of IIM Kolkata after several grueling rounds of pitching. Eminent jury members like Mr. Shringa (TATA Sustainability Group); S. Sanyal (IIM Kolkata); Amit Antony Alex, Emmanuel V Murray and Nagaraj Pakasam were highly impressed by the SanjivaniQCPR device and kiosk, labelling them as the need of the hour solutions in Indian context, empowering common men for a life saving role.
