KINS NSS Unit Celebrates National Girl Child Day – 2022
The NSS wing of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) celebrated National Girl Child Day under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on 24th January 2022. On the occasion, several activities were performed by KINS NSS volunteers of B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year and 3rd year under the mentorship of NSS Program Officers, Ms. Daini Sunita and Ms. Anita Panigrahi, Tutors, KINS.
The objectives of the programme were to spread awareness among the public about gender equality, to bring down the female feticide, to promote awareness about the rights of the girl child and the importance of female education, health, and nutrition. It was a great opportunity and pleasing experience for NSS volunteers to interact and educate themselves on this important issue. The volunteers expressed their thoughts via speech, poem, dance, paintings, which are available in the facebook page of KINS NSS Unit.
