KSOFT Organizes “Product Design” Webinar in Collaboration with Maitri Global Education, Italy
KIIT School of Fashion Technology organized a Subject Experts Engagement (SEE) Webinar Talk on 17th January 2022 in coordination and collaboration with Maitri Global Education, Italy and Academic & Industry Experts from top ranked Design University and Institutes of European Countries.
Delivering a lecture on “Creative Development Skills” at the webinar, Mr. Eduardo Motta – Product Manager, Lotto International from Italy elaborated on Product Designing, Product Development, Merchandising and Marketing. He went on to explain the development of footwear with technical know-how in different steps, gave a brief idea about the product development, ways to manage the sales and how to analyze it, ways to maintain the marketing requests, target cost, investment, development timings, designing with perfection, wood modeling and prototype of the product. He also answered questions from the faculty members as students.
Prof. Farantene Raffaele, Project Leader, Adidas, Italy explained Marketing/Product Design according to the customers’ need and choice. He detailed on Product Design Conceptualization, Material Selection, Merchandiser Sample Development, Pricing Strategies, Customer Perception on Design & Pricing, Product Technical Specification, Material Selection, Procurement & Mass Production Planning, Finishing and Retailing, etc.
Students of KSOFT got an amazing opportunity to enhance their knowledge and at the same time grab new ideas for their future. Prof. H. S. Khauta, CEO of SOFT, SFMS & SMC expressed gratitude to the invited expert speakers, Mr. George Maitri, Founder of Maitri Global Education and Mr. Abraham Choorickapra, Co-Founder & President and organizers and coordinators for encouraging the KSOFT students with valuable insights. Prof. Bauri Raul, Course Coordinator of KSOFT led the session along with other faculty members of the School.
The 2nd Webinar in Subject Experts Engagement (SEE) Talk series was held on 13th December 2021, while the first webinar was conducted on 25th November 2021 on “Fashion Styling”. Ms. Biswarnjita Mohapatra, Sr. Faculty Associate and Mr. P. S. Bal, Faculty Associate proposed the vote of thanks.
