KIIT School of Electrical Engineering conducted an alumni talk by Dr. Nidhi Mishra, KIIT alumna of 2010 batch (B.Tech) under ‘Kamya: Alumni Talk Series’ on 3rd September 2021. The session started with the welcome address by Dr. Alivarani Mohapatra, Assistant Professor, School of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Nidhi Mishra, who is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, spoke on the topic, “Power Quality Improvement in Converters for Grid Tied Applications”.

During her presentation, Dr. Mishra discussed power quality issues and different mitigation techniques. She also discussed different types of power filters and their design and applications. She shared her experiences at KIIT and her stay at IIT Delhi. She advised research scholars to be focused and to do their work in a planned and organized way to achieve success. Around 60 participants and many faculty members joined the session. Dr. Arjyadhara Pradhan, Alumni Coordinator thanked Dr. Nidhi Mishra for her valuable words to the students. The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. B. K. Nayak, Dean, School of Electrical Engineering on an online platform.
