A Research Critique is an analysis of a research undertaking that focuses on its strengths and limitations. Journal Club presentation is an educational forum to appreciate new knowledge, create awareness of current research findings and appraise research.

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT-DU conducted a Journal Club Presentation attended by faculty members and students of M.Sc. (N) 1styr and 2nd yr on virtual platform on 18th June 2021.

The session consisted of two presentations by 2nd year post graduate students. The first speaker Mrs. Minu Rani Mahato, Msc. 2nd yr presented a research article on “Effectiveness of cycled lighting in neonatal intensive care unit on weight and cardio respiratory function in preterm infants”. After the presentation, the floor was open for discussion and critiques.

The second speaker Mr. Partha Sarathi Jena, Msc 2nd yr presented an article on “Effectiveness of Modified Constraint-Induced movement therapy in stroke patients based on severity” followed by critique and discussion. Such presentation and critique help the researcher to get insight into research problems and gain depth of knowledge in the research process. The programme was concluded with thanks to all.
