Summer Training Program Inaugurated at KIIT School of Electrical Engineering

A 30-day summer training session on IoT and Embedded PLC, Industrial Automation PLC and LabVIEW & Interfacing was inaugurated at School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University on virtual mode. Welcoming the dignitaries, students and participants, Prof. Subrat Behera, Assoc. Dean, T&P & FIC Training Program explained the modalities of the course and importance of technical training.

Speaking at the inaugural program, Dr. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Professor and Director, QAC appreciated the attempt of the School in developing skills among students during this pandemic time. Dr. Sarat Chandra Swain, Professor and Joint Director, Skills emphasized the utility of IOT and Embedded PLC, Industrial Automation PLC and LabVIEW & Interfacing knowledge in Industrial automation process control design.

Dr. Byamakesh Nayak, Dean of the School appreciated the cumulative  and perseverance effort of the faculties and teaching staff of the  School in bringing this summer training program within a short span of time. He also elaborated the utility of IOT and Embedded PLC, Industrial Automation PLC and LabVIEW & Interfacing in research, project and, above all, for the benefit of future endeavours.

Dr. Subhra Debdas, Associate Professor & Prof. Subhendu Bikash Santra, Assistant Professor and Expert of the programs shared their views in detail on the domain specific knowledge applications to be imparted. Mr. Md Aftab Alam proposed the vote of thanks. The inaugural program was attended by around 90 participants including students, faculty members, and technical assistants.

The inauguration-cum-orientation was well coordinated by Ms. Susree Subinita, AAO, School of Electrical Engineering.
