International Webinar on ‘Economic Outlook: India and World: Post Covid Analysis’ Held at KIIT

The School of Humanities, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University organized an International Webinaron Economic Outlook : India and World : Post Covid Analysis’.

It aimed at sharing different aspects of Indian and World Economy during the Post Covid era to achieve the desirable economic growth. The webinar was graced by Dr. Sudarshan Nanda, Head CIR, KIIT-DU and Prof Ashis Sen, Dean-in-Charge and Chairperson, UG Program. Dr. S. Nanda formally inaugurated the session.  Prof. Ashis Sen, in his welcome address, provided practical insights on the issue.

Dr. Prvakar Sahoo, Professor, Institute of Economic Growth enriched the session by analyzing broader macroeconomic aspects. He talked at length about the post Covid scenario, comparing the economic situation of India, Europe and neighboring countries such as China and Bangladesh.

Dr. Pulin Nayak, a veteran economist, discussed the Indian economy from Gandhian , Neheruvian era to recent period, evolution of economic growth of India and most likely impact in the post Covid era. Dr. Rasananda Panda, Professor MICA (Ahmedabad), enriched the session by his insights on ‘Importance of Public Policy During Covid and Post Covid Era’.

Dr. Sujit Sarrangi, Professor, Virginia Tech, conducted the session from the micro aspect, and spoke on the importance of micro environment of different institutions and sectors to be seen deeply and analyzed during ‘Post Covid Era.’

The webinar started with the welcome note by Dr. Snigdha Tripathy, convenor of the webinar. Dr. Swapnayee Palit acted as the moderator and Dr. Smrutirekha Mohanty and Dr. Anannya Mitra were the Committee members. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Snigdha Tripathy.
