KINS Co-hosts Virtual Birthday Celebration of Legendary Nurse & Doyen of Nursing Research Late Dr. Aparna Bhaduri
“I never teach my pupils, I only provide conditions in which they can learn”
KINS co-hosted the international virtual birthday celebration of a legendary nurse, a doyen of nursing research and a magnificent teacher late Dr. Aparna Bhaduri, organized by ‘ANSWERS’ on 29th December, 2020 to commemorate her contribution to the nursing profession.
Dr. Bhaduri was an influential mentor, an awakener with magnetic skills that transformed many lives through sheer dedication, fathomless patience and her quest for knowledge. She was a teacher born and bred, who led her life with examples. She motivated others to follow her footprints to make a difference. Her book “Health research: A Community-based Approach” published by WHO motivated the nurses to intensify their research activities for promoting excellence in nursing practice.
The programme commenced with the welcoming of 200 virtual participants by Dr. Sujata, followed by reading out of virtual tributary messages from students from across the globe. Dr. Prakashamma, Chairman of ‘ANSWERS’ unveiled an album of Dr. Bhaduri. Faculties and students of KINS, KIIT Deemed to be University paid tribute to Dr. Bhaduri under the leadership of Prof. Mrs. Amarita Lenka by cutting cake over the virtual platform. Prof. Lenka shared the golden memories of her teacher, expressed gratitude for shaping and refining her and offered heartfelt thanks to ‘ANSWERS’ for providing such a wonderful platform.
‘ANSWERS’ is a professional and public health organization built to enhance the research capacity of nurses. It had organized the Aparna Bhaduri Research web series to provide a platform for disseminating the research findings with the nursing fraternity.
