Department of Physiology Organizes Neurophysiology Webinar
Department of Physiology, KIMS conducted a webinar on Neurophysiology on 3rd October 2020 by Dr. Kaviraja Udupa, Additional Professor, Department of Neurophysiology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. He placed his talk on “Autonomic Function Testing: Clinical and Research Window to Neuropsychiatric Disorders”.
The online Guest Lecture was attended by faculty members, Senior Residents, interns, Post Graduate and Undergraduate students of KIMS. The program was coordinated by Professor and Head, Department of Physiology, Dr. Jayanti Mishra with support from Maj Gen (Dr.) P. K. Patnaik, VSM, Director School of Medicine & Principal KIMS.
The online webinar on Zoom began with an introduction of the speaker by Prof & Head, Department of Physiology, Dr. Jayanti Mishra. Thereafter, Dr. Kaviraja spoke on the various prognostics, diagnostic and research benefits of autonomic function testing and emphasized on collaboration with different departments such as medicine, psychiatry, neurology, endocrinology, obstetrics and Gynaecology, etc. He answered queries from the participants regarding the topic. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Soumya Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology, KIMS.
