KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Organizes IEEE Distinguished Lecture

The School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, in association with IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, Bhubaneswar and IIT Bhubaneswar, organized IEEE Distinguished Lecture on ‘Advances in Current Fed Power Electronics Systems’ in virtual mode on 18th August 2020.  

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Prof. R. V. Rajakumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar commended KIIT Deemed to be University on achieving the first position in ARIIA 2020 rankings among the self-financing universities of the country. He also praised the efforts of IE Society, driven by young professionals.

In his inaugural speech, Prof. Chandrasekhar Perumalla, Chair, IE Society chapter welcomed all the dignitaries. Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU emphasized the purpose of such technical societies in bringing development to the society, while Prof. C. K. Panigrahi, Director, KIIT School of Electrical Engineering mentioned the effort behind the formation of IE Society and CE Society.

The expert talk was well appreciated by the academic fraternity. The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by around 250 participants across the globe, who were registered for the talk by Prof. Akshay Kumar Rathore, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. He also answered queries of the participants in the Q&A session. Prof. A. K. Tripathy, Chair, IEEE Bhubaneswar Subsection mentioned the activities of the subsection, while Prof. T. R. Choudhury, Secretary, IE Society proposed the vote of thanks.
