KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering organizes an International Conference on Thermofluids which was inaugurated in the presence of many distinguished dignitaries and delegates at Seminar Hall, Campus-8 on 23rd January, 2020. This 2 day International Conference is being graced by many Keynote Speakers and Participants from different parts of the Globe.

Gracing the occasion, Dr. R. K. Mishra, Scientist and Associate Director of  Regional Centre for Military Airworthiness (Engines), Bangalore highlighted the technical and environmental aspects of both fighter planes and commercial flights in his Keynote Speech. He concluded with mentioning the importance of research in reducing emission contributed by exponential growth of the aviation industry for the harmony of globe.

Dr. Swarnendu Sen, Professor, Jadavpur University presented a Keynote Speech on  Flow dynamics in a natural circulation loop. He is one among the few researchers in India who started working on natural circulation loop. He predicted that the big data analysis will have an impact in this field of research in the near future.

Invited Speaker Dr. S. P. S. Rajput, Professor, MNIT Bhopal, presented a talk on recent advancements in refrigeration and air conditioning. Dr. Rajput mentioned in his talk about different possibilities of energy efficient air conditioning system including combined refrigeration and power cycle so that the new refrigeration systems will be sustainable.

At the outset, Dr. A.K. Sahoo, Director, KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering placed the welcome address and briefly narrated the objectives of the Conference in a nutshell. Dr. Gyan Sagar Sinha, Assistant Professor and Convener, SME  elucidated the impact and utilities of this conference lucidly. The proceedings of ICAMPD-2019 was unveiled by the Dignitaries. Eventually, Dr. P.C Mishra, Professor and Dean Research, SME and Co- Chairman of the Conference, narrated the different research facilities available in the School including various achievements in research and also, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

All the speakers appreciated the hospitality and arrangements made by the organisers but particularly, they were overwhelmed by observing KISS in the afternoon. They praised the Hon’ble Founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta wholeheartedly for his noble work and dedication towards society. They all promised to visit KIIT and KISS again.
