KIIT School of Public Health organizes Fresher’s Welcome Function “HOLA JUNIOS 2.O” – 2019
The Fresher’s Welcome Function “HOLA JUNIOS 2.O” – 2019 of KIIT School of Public Health was held on 10th November, 2019 at KIMS Auditorium, Campus-5.
The Inaugural Function was graced by Shri Rabindra Nath Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU; Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU; Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh Chandra Das, Director, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) and Shri Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan, In-charge, Academic Affairs, School of Public Health.
At the outset, Shri Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan, welcomed the dignitaries and guests and highlighted the journey of School of Public Health in last 3 years as well as its achievements. He cherished the enthusiasm of the students in organizing the event. He thanked the Founder of KIIT and KISS, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Secretary, KIIT & KISS, VC, Pro-VC and Registrar, KIIT DU for their guidance and leadership for the progress of the School of Public Health.
Prof. (Dr) Ramesh Chandra Das emphasized the importance of public health and expressed his happiness regarding the progress of the School of Public Health. He inspired students to put their best effort to excel in their career.
Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty highlighted the scope and importance of Hospital Administration and Public Health in health care sector and stressed that there are lots of opportunities within the university for interdisciplinary research in those areas. He advised students to strive for excellence in their domains of study.
Prof. Sasmita Samanta appreciated the students for choosing Public Health & Hospital Administration as their areas of study. She mentioned that leadership skill is very much needed to excel in these fields and both the disciplines require multidisciplinary approach for its successful execution. She inspired students to put best effort in their studies and nurture leadership skill in them.
Shri Rabindra Nath Dash congratulated the students and advised them to work hard with dedication for success in their life. He explained to the students about the selfless services of the Founder of KIIT and KISS, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta towards the tribal children and the society.
The Inaugural Session was followed by various cultural activities by the senior and new students, which nicely reflected the hidden talents of the students.
