Prime Minister Kaushal Vikash Centre Inaugurated at Phulbani

Prime Minister Kaushal Vikash Centre has been inaugurated at Phulbani town on November 6, 2019 by Kandhamal MP, Dr. Achyuta Samanta; Kandhamal Legislature, Shri Angada Kanhar and Collector Dr. Brunda D. The center is facilitated by KIIT Deemed to be University. As many as 1000 unemployed youths will be imparted training at this center during the first phase. The unemployed girls will be given training on ‘tailoring’ trade, while the boys will get electrician training at this center.

Dignitaries also inaugurated KIIT Soft Skill Development Center, which would provide English Language and Computer training to make the youths eligible for employment. “Apart from imparting training, the youths will be aptly employed and made self reliant”, Dr. Samanta stated.

On the occasion, Dr. Samanta declared three incentives for the Phulbani ITI. At least 5 successful tribal students from Phulbani ITI would be enrolled in KIIT Polytechnic free of cost to study Diploma Engineering. He also committed to provide financial assistance to the tune of 10 lakhs from his MP LAD fund for Phulbani. Furthermore, he would help all the pass-out students from Phulbani ITI get employment. All the unemployed youths of Phulbani will obtain required training and coaching on Computer and English Language education throughout the year, he assured.

Expressing his pleasure on establishment of such a centre, MLA of Phulbani Sri Kanhar said, many a poor and unemployed youths will get benefited by and large through this Centre. Dr. Samanta also thanked Collector, Dr. Brunda for extending her helping hands towards establishment of such a center.
