NSS Members of School of Electronics and CEC celebrated Diwali with the children of Asha Kiran Orphanage

On 27th October, 2019, the members of NSS School of Electronics Engineering and Community Engagement Cell visited the Asha Kiran Orphanage in Bhubaneswar and celebrated the festival of light “Diwali” with the children.

A Card making and Origami session was conducted for the children and various activities took place followed by a cake cutting ceremony. The children also were very jubilant and the bright smiles on their faces was the supreme gift the volunteers could expect. The Volunteers then interacted with the children and refreshments were distributed among them.

Ms. Sruti Singh, Program Officer, NSS School of Electronics Engineering and Ms. Madhusmita Panda Add. Liaisoning Officer from Community Engagement Cell were also present on the occasion. Thus it was a very fruitful and rewarding day for the NSS Volunteers as were a reason for someone’s happiness.

Whenever you share your happiness with the innocent kids who are quite ignorant and deprived of parental love and affection, it not only delights you but your soul. When they experience the pleasant and joyous moments, it doubles your happiness and halves their pain, sorrow and dullness.
