Fitting Finale for CBSE Far East Zone Lawn Tennis Tournament 2019

Without self-discipline, success is impossible. The three day Tennis Tournament that was hosted by KiiT International School from 5th October to 7th October, 2019 truly showcased this adage.

Several matches were held in different categories to provide tennis aspirants from the eastern zone an opportunity to test their talent, fitness and preparedness for future success.

In the Under 17 Boys Category, KiiT International School was the Winner, while Sai International School, Odisha and Laximipat Singhania Academy of Kolkata reached the Semi Finals. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chattisgarh was the Runners Up.


For the girls in the Under 17 Category, N H Goel World School of Raipur was the Winner. Sai International School bagged the Semi Final place and the Runners Up were Delhi Public School, Guwahati.


In the Under 19 Boys Category, KiiT International School again came up trumps. The Semi Finalists included Delhi Public School, Kalinga, Odisha and World School Academy, Raipur. The Runners Up were the players from Royal Global School from Assam.


It was a double whammy for KiiT International School in the Under 19 Category with the girls emerging Winners too. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chattisgarh and Sai International School, Bhubaneswar settled in Semi Final spot, while Delhi Public School, Raipur were the Runners Up.

The tournament was conducted with great proficiency and ensured that all the players gave their very best at all times.


Rutuparna Choudhury, Sanya Yadav, Sradhanjali Dash well as Kabir Hans, Asish Parida, Harsh Huras Hura and Anshuman Mohapatra were appreciated for the quality of play and excellent strategy. D. Aryan Swamy, Siddharth Krishna, Aniket Barik and Pritesh Dev also impressed all as future prospects of tennis.
