A Roaring Success! Dutee Chand wins Gold Medal in World University Games

India’s Fastest Woman and a student of KIIT Deemed to be University, Dutee Chand created a landmark in the history of Sprints by winning the 100m sprint at the Universiade, the World University Games, in Naples. She  cracked the Gold Medal in 100m sprint in 11.32 seconds.

Definitely, it is a moment of enormous pride for our country as this is India’s first such gold. This is indeed a splendid win and she has made the nation swell with pride.

Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT &KISS has conveyed goodwill message to Dutee for her remarkable success and said that her feat has become a matter of pride not only for KIIT but also for Odisha as well as India.

In fact, Dr. Samanta has sponsored entirely Dutee’s participation. He had sent a three member high level sports team including Director of Sports, KIIT DU to ensure her smooth participation.
