Silver Girl Dutee Chand Gets Rousing Reception From KIIT & KISS Fraternity

The Emerging Sprint Queen & Silver Girl of India, Ms. Dutee Chand was bestowed  rousing greetings from thousands of students and staff members of KIIT & KISS on 31st August, 2018  for her splendid feat in the 18th Asian Games.

“I’m just spellbound to witness here the massive gathering all set to greet me, for which I convey my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta Sir for such an incredible arrangement. Indeed it is the love, goodwill and support extended on part of the 27000 students of KISS which have been instrumental in winning medals at the Asian Games,” remarked Ms. Dutee Chand at KISS on Friday.

From Jakarta to Bhubaneswar, it has been an exhausting journey. “However finding myself among the company of exuberant youngsters like you people, I’m relieved off  the fatigue to a great extent. I seek your constant support and encouragement  in order to crack an Olympic Medal ,” Dutee added.

Commenting on Dutee’s success, the Founder of KIIT & KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta said, “I feel proud of Dutee  for winning back to back Silver Medals at the Asian Games. She has now become a role model for all of you who are aspiring to excel in athletics. So try your level best to achieve something extraordinary,” urged the Founder to KISS students.

Dutee’s Coach Nagapuri Ramesh remarked that it is always a challenge to succeed in athletics at top level like Asian Games where competition is very stiff among the top sprinters of different nations. However, Dutee finally emerged as a winner due to her sheer dedication and determination. He also lavishly praised the useful guidance from Dr. Achyuta Samanta that was extremely crucial for Dutee to ensure success.

Among others, Sri R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Harekrushna  Satapathy, VC, KISS-DU; Sri Julius Lakra, Registrar KISS-DU; Dr. P.K. Routray, CEO, KISS; Sri Suryakanta Mohanty, COO, KISS and Dr. Gaganendu Das, Director of Sports, KIIT-DU were present on the occasion.
